5 TERRE and Portovenere

BOOKING

From La Spezia, we sail along the coast towards Portovenere. Here, you can stop independently to visit the village, the church of San Pietro, the castle, and to do some shopping.

We then continue along the beautiful cliffs overlooking the sea, with a view of the “rosse” - a stretch of reddish rocks - and the famous Monasteroli staircase (almost 4,000 steps).

You can take a swim in front of the “canneto” beach and then set off again for the Cinque Terre, admiring the picturesque landscape of the villages wedged between the mountains and the sea - Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. In the latter, you can take another break on your own to explore the village.

On the way back, you will see the famous ‘Byron's Cave’ near Portovenere.

Portovenere and Islands

BOOKING

From La Spezia, we sail along the coast towards Portovenere. Here, you can stop independently to visit the village, the church of San Pietro, the castle, and to do some shopping.

We then continue along the beautiful coast of Palmaria Island, which on the side facing the open sea has a striking cliff overlooking the sea.

You can go for a swim at Cala dell'Ammiraglio and Punta Mariella before setting off again towards the islands of Tino and Tinetto.
At the summit of Tino (122 metres), you can see the active Navy lighthouse. The entire island is a military zone, but every year it is opened to the public on the feast day of its patron saint, San Venerio, on 13 September.

On the return journey, you will see the famous ‘Grotta Byron’ cave near Portovenere.

Lerici and Tellaro

BOOKING

From La Spezia, we sail along the coast towards Lerici. Here, you can stop independently to visit the village, the castle, and go shopping.

We then continue along the numerous inlets to the village of Tellaro, with its small church overlooking the sea. The sight of the waves breaking on the rocks on which the church stands, creating high foamy sprays, is very impressive.

You can take a dip at the “caletta” beach, a warm cove surrounded by Mediterranean scrub that reaches down to the sea.
